H.S. ManagerŐs Reports:
All managers reported a smooth-running festival and that the conductors were pleased with the facilities and the abilities of the students.

Band: Lisa Fornier-Donley will be the manager for the 05-06 year, with Christine Borning as her assistant. Tony Stevens Conductor
Orchestra:
Jazz Festival: Tom Borning, manager, reported the Jazz Festival again drew a small profit. All seemed happy with the location, turnout, and dates for the festival. Paul Pitts (conductor) was well-received. Barnstable and Falmouth still have outstanding fees for the festival participation. Tom will again be manager for the 05-06 year and Harwich will be happy to host again. Tentative dates were proposed of March 29/30.
All-Cape & Islands H.S. Festival Auditions:
Remarks were made of how auditions ran so efficiently at Mashpee thanks to a well-prepared host (Vicki Vieira).
H.S. All-Cape Festival Auditions (continued)
Auditions: Choral Sight Singing: Fred Johnson, having met with the choral sight-singing committee, came back with the following recommendations for guidelines for the sight-reading at the H.S. All-Cape Festival. These were not yet voted on nor approved.
Fred also gave a reminder that the SE audition piece has been shortened. It now ends in the first measure of page 5. (The Nightingale)
Fred Johnson made a motion that the choral auditions only have one judge per room. This motion was tabled until the September meeting.
Junior Festival Reports:
Band: Mariellen Sears was congratulated on taking the festival on short notice and doing such a wonderful job. She apologized for the omission in inviting Provincetown, but had used a list that had not included them. Christine Borning will be the host/manager for 05-06.
Orchestra: Kerry Wynn stated that the festival ran well except for the limited number of willing conductors. There was discussion of making conducting mandatory for all participating teachers. New manager/host 05-06 (none yet)
Chorus: Sarah Faschada (in absentia) reported that the festival was successful and well-attended. The host/manager for 05-06 will be Velma Zuzick (sp?) at Francis Xavier.
Publicity/Public Relations:
Bob Frazier noted the good coverage of the H.S. All-Cape Festival, but wondered why there was little publicity of other functions. Recommended that directors/manager take pictures and submit them to Cape Cod Times and other local papers. To use more resources in getting the word out (letters to the editor, etc)
Christine Borning recommended creating a blank, general Ňpress releaseÓ template for all to use (to be posted on web site).
Old Business:
Tom Borning brought up the concerns about last yearŐs recording of the HS All Cape Concert. The band portion of the recording was incomplete. Suggested looking at asking other companies to bid on the recording (such as Meadow Media). Mike Smith said he would contact them for a bid on next yearŐs festival.
New Business:
á Mariellen Sears (as a representative from the Cape Symphony) wanted to gauge the response of last yearŐs reception in the fall and weather or not to continue the event.
á Mike Smith offered two dates for 05-06 events:
o October 15th: Marching Band Invitational (wants more bands to participate)
o April 4/5: Band, Chorus, Orchestra festival. No judges, no scores (numeric), no fees. An opportunity for groups to play for other groups and hear other groups from local schools in a more informal setting. (an afternoon/evening event).
September Meeting was called for 7:00 p.m. September 7th, 2005 at Chatham HS.
